The THQB1145 is a -pole, amp, thermal-magnetic molded-case circuit breaker, originally developed by General Electric (GE) as part of its widely adopted THQB product line. This breaker is designed for use in 120 VAC single-phase branch circuits, commonly found in residential and commercial applications. Its bolt-on mounting style distinguishes it from the plug-on THQL variant, enabling it to securely fasten to the bus bar in GE panelboards such as PowerMark Gold™ and Spectra™ panels. The compact frame and standard dimensions make the THQB1145 ideal for protecting low-current circuits such as lighting, receptacles, or control wiring.
The THQB1145 uses a thermal-magnetic trip mechanism, which provides dual-level protection: a heat-sensitive bimetallic strip for overloads, and a magnetic coil for short-circuit events. This ensures reliable protection against both sustained overcurrent conditions and high-fault scenarios. The THQB1145 is UL 489 listed, rated for up to {aic rating} interrupting capacity, and supports standard copper or aluminum branch conductors (typically #14–#10 AWG). Its time-tested construction and standardized performance make it suitable for both new installations and service replacements in GE/ABB panel systems.
Since ABB acquired GE Industrial Solutions, the THQB series continues to be manufactured under the ABB brand, with full backward compatibility and ongoing support for legacy GE infrastructure. ABB maintains the specifications, certifications, and footprint of the original GE design, ensuring continued use in existing PowerMark and Spectra panelboards. The THQB1110 remains a reliable and code-compliant solution for low-amperage branch circuit protection in both residential and commercial load centers.
