The LRD04 is a thermal overload relay from the Schneider Electric TeSys D LRD series, designed to provide protection for AC circuits and motors against overload, phase failure, and prolonged starting conditions. The LRD04 features a -pole configuration, an adjustable current range of 0.4A–0.63A. This relay is classified as a Class 10A device, offering quick response to overloads, and includes both manual and automatic reset functions. The LRD04 is equipped with a bimetallic differential mechanism, phase unbalance protection, and a tripping threshold of approximately 1.14 times the set current. It is compatible for direct mounting on LC1D09 through LC1D38 contactors and is housed in an IP20 enclosure for added safety.
The TeSys D LRD series, which includes the LRD04, is recognized for its robust construction, precise motor protection, and straightforward integration with Schneider Electric and Square D contactor systems. Since its introduction, this series has been widely adopted in commercial and industrial motor control panels for its reliability, ease of adjustment, and broad compatibility. The LRD04 is UL and CSA certified, supports three-phase motor protection, and is suitable for use in environments with operating temperatures ranging from -20°C to 60°C.
For applications requiring accurate and adjustable motor overload protection, the LRD04 provides a dependable solution with features such as single-phase sensitivity and clear trip indication. Purchase the LRD04 at Electrical.com, the leader in power distribution and motor control solutions.
